Lenten Soup Suppers and Stations of the Cross:  Please join us on 3 Fridays in Lent (February 16, March 2, and March 16) at 6:30 PM for Stations of the Cross, a soup supper, and a film from the Robert Barron series Conversions.  The First Friday Mass will take the place of Stations on March 2.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA):  Are you interested in becoming Catholic?  Do you know someone who is?  Are you an adult Catholic who has not yet been confirmed?  Perhaps you just want to learn more about the Catholic Faith, or have questions about it.  RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is the process for preparing adults for full communion with the Catholic Church. Sessions are also open to any adult desiring to learn more about Catholicism.  Our next session will be on Tuesday, February 27 at 7 PM in the undercroft. Father Au will give a presentation on the Sacraments of Holy Orders, Reconciliation, and Anointing of the Sick. All are welcome to attend.

THE SHROUD OF TURIN talk and replica is coming to the Shrine on Palm Sunday (March 25). We will have lunch at 12:30 pm in the Undercroft, followed by the presentation at 1:00. Don’t miss this great opportunity to begin Holy Week in an unforgettable way.

Considered one of the greatest mysteries of our time, the Shroud of Turin continues to amaze and baffle scientists, doctors, historians, artists and theologians.  Scientists cannot explain the source of the image which contains photographic and 3-D properties on a cloth centuries old.  But is this the actual burial cloth of Jesus Christ?

Bill Wingard, a speaker for the Shroud, will present the case for authenticity, and you can be the judge.  Come see a full size replica of the Shroud and the photographic negative images that sparked an explosion of scientific interest and debate over a century ago which continues to today.  What message does the Shroud have for each of us? Everyone of all ages is welcome. RSVP for lunch to Steve Cox in the parish office.

Shrine Book Discussion Group:  Meets monthly on Thursday evenings at 6:00 in the parish undercroft. All are welcome. Participants are asked to obtain copies of the readings through the bookseller or library of their choice. Upcoming meetings and readings are as follows:

February 22- Dante, Inferno

March 22Dante, Purgatorio

April 26- Dante, Paradiso

The Christian Life Program of catechesis is offered at various times throughout the year, in cooperation with Couples for Christ, an international Catholic lay organization.  This program is open to all adults seeking to deepen their Catholic Faith. A new series of 12 talks will begin on Saturday, March 3, from 1-4 PM. Contact the parish office for additional information.
